Job Summary: The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share whilst spearheading SLB’s entry into the new energy markets in the UK. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, promoting SLB’s cutting-edge Cameron surface products and technologies, and identifying tailored solutions to meet client needs. The Sales Engineer optimises sales opportunities through in-depth knowledge of client activities and plans and communicates customer activity and sales opportunities through effective use of sales business systems/processes. The position is hybrid, with an office presence in Aberdeen and may require occasional travel across the region.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as one of the main customer points of contact, ensuring strong communication and relationship management.
- Work closely with the Product Service & Delivery (PSD) team to ensure seamless execution and deliver excellent customer experience.
- Conduct regular client visits to build and maintain strong relationships, understand customer needs, and align them with SLB’s solutions.
- Collaborate with management to set sales goals and develop coordinated plans for promoting existing and new products/services.
- Design and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue within assigned accounts.
- Identify, qualify, and manage sales leads and opportunities, ensuring an accurate and up-to-date pipeline.
- Lead and manage tender responses, including preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals to meet client requirements and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ of experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally within Wellheads or Xmas Trees / Production Systems. Surface or Subsea can be considered.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Previous sales experience will be considered a plus but not essential.
