We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Finance Department. The Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in managing all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices, payments, and employee expenses are processed accurately and on time. You will help support the finance team, nurture strong relationships with vendors, and drive ongoing improvements in AP operations. As a senior member of the team, contribute to shaping best practices within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and controls.
- Review, verify, and resolve invoice discrepancies, working closely with vendors to address any issues.
- Oversee weekly and monthly payment runs, including electronic bank transfers.
- Ensure accurate accounts payable (AP) records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Manage supplier accounts, including onboarding new vendors and updating existing information.
- Respond to payment and invoice queries from both internal and external contacts in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciliations.
- Support the AP Manager in continuous process improvement initiatives leveraging 3E and Emburse/Chrome River Expense and Invoicing.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Emburse/Chrome River Invoice and Expense modules, demonstrating advanced proficiency.
- Experience with 3E is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and accounts payable best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to resolving queries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
