We are recruiting for an Early Careers Recruitment ("ECR") Administrator to join the ECR Team. The ECR Team is part of the HR Department and the wider Business Services function based at the firm's head office in London. Its purpose is to work alongside the ECR partners to attract and recruit those wishing to qualify as a solicitor, who will ensure the continuing success of the firm. The team consists of the Head of Recruitment, Senior Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, two Advisers, an Executive, two Assistants, and two Administrators. The successful candidate will report into the Operations Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individually checking and processing high-volume training contract, work experience, and solicitor apprenticeship programme (SAP) applications through the online application system.
- Maintaining the online application system in an accurate and timely manner, including updating candidates' applications, communicating application outcomes, and managing the online interview scheduling tool.
- Managing the two shared ECR mailboxes and responding promptly to ECR queries by email and telephone.
- Responsibility for the coordination of high-volume training contract, work experience and SAP interviews and ensuring that the interview process runs smoothly, including liaising with EAs to identify interviewers, keeping the interviews spreadsheet up to date, liaising with the room bookings team, and creating calendar invites.
- Meeting interview candidates and setting up their written exercises.
- Assisting with the administration of the annual ECR marketing campaign, including arranging promotion and email comms, organising the logistics for recruitment events, and assisting with the administration of university society sponsorships.
- Responsibility for the administration of the university prizes process.
- Assisting with the administration and organisation of work experience opportunities.
- Processing invoices and student travelling expenses.
- Individually checking future trainees' certificates and transcripts.
- Assisting with other tasks and projects to support the team as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Ideally degree educated or equivalent previous experience in a professional services environment.
- Minimum of grade 5 or 6 in GCSE English (or equivalent).
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure, and work to tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic individual prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload using their own initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables within a tight timeframe and deliver high quality work.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build strong business relationships, both internally and externally and at all levels; approachable and able to build rapport quickly.
- High level of professionalism and integrity; displays the highest standard of professional ethics.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (in particular Outlook, Word and Excel).
- An interest in working in HR/recruitment.
