The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

We are recruiting for an Executive to join the Innovation Team. The Innovation team is responsible for introducing and promoting the appropriate use of legal technology; creating and delivering a firm-wide innovation strategy; enhancing client relationships by providing innovation programmes for the firm’s clients; and ensuring our multi-specialist fee earners are well equipped and supported in order to deliver high quality, timely legal advice. The role will suit someone ambitious and proactive who wants the opportunity to shape and grow their role and who is willing to turn their hand to new skills and technologies. The role is critical to many of the team’s broad range of new and exciting projects. The role will report to an Innovation Manager or Senior Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Innovation team with aspects of the firm’s broad and varied innovation strategy and its delivery.
  • Participate in legal tech projects, including market research and analysis, vendor management, procurement and onboarding, product implementation, communications, promotion, training and support.
  • Aid the delivery of the firm’s generative AI strategy by supporting the adoption of generative AI tools, particularly the assessment of generative AI tools for their suitability for use at the firm, assisting with the generative AI adoption plan across the business, defining success metrics and developing communications plans.
  • Support the team’s client/market facing initiatives, such as the Client Innovation Network and the Collaborate legal tech programme.
  • Create efficiencies including via automation of processes (using Microsoft Power Automate or similar). Suggest improvements for greater efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Identify and support opportunities for collaboration and other cross-team initiatives between Legal Ops teams (including Innovation, Pricing & Analytics and Legal Project Management), Commercial teams and other Business Services teams, including facilitating cross-team discussions of items of interest and reporting back to your team where appropriate.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels, including the firm’s partners and clients.
  • Act as a change champion, supporting issues and challenges following the introduction of new processes and systems.
  • Update the team intranet pages and collaboration site to ensure key information, contacts and organisational/structure charts are created and maintained.
  • Maintain and update process, procedure and guidance manuals.
  • Provide documentary support including reports, tables, presentations (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other documents in the firm’s style.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, quality standards, and the firm’s policies in general.
  • Provide general team support during times of increased workload and undertake additional ad hoc duties to support the group, as necessary.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Have a keen interest in legal service innovation, legal technology and client relationships and an enthusiasm for developing new skills.
  • Have an interest in and basic capability to undertake process automation using Power Automate or similar.
  • Be proficient in the Office365 software suite.
  • Have the ability to anticipate and identify potential problems and provide innovative suggestions and solutions.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and high standards of literacy.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well within a team, and to interact with people at all levels, including clients.
  • Evidence excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines whilst remaining proactive and flexible.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and pride in work product.
  • Be collaborative and supportive of the business, the team and its initiatives, and demonstrate a proactive willingness to get to grips with new technology and skills, taking the training opportunities provided by the firm and getting involved in new and different projects.
  • Have experience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culture.
  • Be adaptable and open to change and show willingness and confidence to make suggestions for change where appropriate.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, displaying the highest standard of professional ethics.
