We are recruiting for an experienced Event Manager to join the Marketing Department. Our Clients and Markets function brings together market insight, client development, pitching and marketing and brand to strengthen client relationships, enhance the firm’s market position and support top line growth.

Strengthening client relationships, supporting our business development priorities and positioning our brand is at the heart of how we use events and hospitality to enhance client experience. Our Events professionals are responsible for developing, planning and delivering a variety of best-in-class in-person, hybrid and virtual events across an annual programme of approximately 200 events. You will manage multiple event workstreams, ensuring seamless execution and an outstanding client experience throughout the planning and delivery process.

The Event Manager will collaborate across Marketing, Global Client Development, Facilities and Operations, and Audio-Visual teams, and fee earners to design and deliver high-quality experiences that support the firm's marketing strategy and business development objectives.

Event management and strategy
  • Lead multiple events simultaneously, managing the full event lifecycle including brief taking, proposal creation, presentation of innovative ideas and solutions, project planning, guest list management, event delivery and post-event evaluation.
  • Work with the Global Client Development team and key stakeholders to agree event objectives, target audiences and measures of success.
  • Advise stakeholders on the most effective event formats and channels to support business development objectives.
  • Develop event strategies that create meaningful client engagement, strengthen relationships and support the firm's marketing and business development priorities.
Event marketing
  • Partner with the Content, Communications and Brand and Creative to develop event marketing campaigns and communicate key messages aligned to client issues.
  • Manage invitation, registration and attendee communications using e-marketing and event technology platforms.
  • Produce engagement reports and campaign analysis, identifying insights and recommendations to improve future performance.
  • Maintain event ROI data and provide analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
Event delivery and operations
  • Lead logistical planning and coordination with internal delivery teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage digital event builds, production schedules and event rehearsals for in-person, hybrid and virtual events.
  • Ensure all necessary licences, approvals and compliance requirements are in place, while maintaining adherence to health and safety standards, risk management procedures and contingency plans throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Source, appoint and manage suppliers, including obtaining quotations, negotiating commercial terms and reviewing contracts.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed financial parameters and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and value.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and suppliers to support the successful delivery of events.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the event lifecycle and proactively resolving issues.
  • Partner with the Brand and Creative team to bring the firm's brand to life across events, developing branded experiences through clear briefs and creative direction.
  • Build and maintain a strong internal network, collaborating with teams across the firm to share knowledge and refine best practice.
  • Manage, coach and develop junior team members, including conducting performance reviews and plans.
  • Support efficient event resource planning, making recommendations on event allocations based on requirements, priorities and team capacity.
  • Identify, review and implement new technologies, processes and tools to enhance event delivery and effectiveness.
  • Drive event best practice across the team, sharing industry insights and keeping abreast of competitor activity, market developments and emerging trends.

Manager experience in a corporate events role, preferably within professional services, with proven success delivering multiple complex, high-end events from brief to delivery. Highly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, demanding workloads and stakeholder expectations while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide meaningful insights and recommendations. Proactive, self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement, with the initiative to identify opportunities to enhance event performance and client experience.
