We have created a fantastic opportunity to join our close-knit employment law team at Slater Heelis as an employment law solicitor, working at our offices in Sale.

With access and support from our leading Employment Law partner and Head of Employment law, you can enjoy a quality and varied caseload and become part of our amazing culture where we value collaboration and encourage creativity and innovation with emphasis on personal development and well-being.

This role will be a mix of respondent and claimant employment law matters. You will provide advice and representation to clients on matters including contract law, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy and restructuring, discrimination and harassment and HR advice. You will be involved in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Other areas of your role may include conducting legal research, drafting and preparing claims, employment contracts and other documents, providing legal advice, negotiating on behalf of clients and keeping up to date with new developments in employment law legislation.

You will be exposed to some difficult and sensitive matters so being empathetic and able to exercise good judgment is imperative, together with a sensible and methodical approach, strong negotiation and drafting skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The PQE guidelines for this role is 2-5 years PQE. However, we will happily consider candidates outside of this bracket.
