Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who can undertake substantive work on these cases with minimal assistance. You will be given the opportunity to be involved in the cases from the outset and will continue to be closely involved throughout their duration, giving you the opportunity to understand the issues involved to enable you to assist with tasks including instructing appropriate medical experts, dealing with disclosure, proofing witnesses and preparing well-structured witness statements. You will attend conferences with clients and leading counsel, MDT and pathfinder meetings and have frequent client/family contact.

We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate prior experience and expertise working on claims of the utmost severity, such as brain and spinal injury and amputation cases. We would like those who have experience with running their own caseload, ideally multi-track but we are happy to consider those who have worked fast-track claims. This role is ideal for someone who wishes to gain further exposure to working on high value complex cases with a team exclusively on behalf of claimants. This is an exciting and exceptional opportunity for someone who would like to focus their career, enabling them to specialise within serious injury, gaining valuable experience while doing so.

Qualifications

Prior experience and expertise in handling high severity claims, such as brain and spinal injury and amputation cases, and a proven ability to manage a caseload independently.

Your Professional Development

We will support and encourage you with developing your career with an award-winning law firm. We run courses across our offices and are continuously monitoring and updating the learning and development offering based on what you tell us. We can support you with your continuous professional development by providing funding for professional qualifications, attending external training courses and providing you with a range of internal learning resources.

What we offer in return

  • Hybrid working - 2 days per week working in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute to the office)
  • 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday
  • 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
  • Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days
  • Employee Referral scheme with payments
  • Group Incentive Plan (Annual Bonus Scheme)
  • Aviva Digicare+ Workplace App providing you with services including annual health checks, access to Digital GP's, mental health consultations, 2nd medical opinions and much more

  • Life Assurance cover
  • Workplace pension
  • Benefits Hub providing discounts to over 700 services including cinema tickets, food and drink, travel, and high street stores
  • Dental Insurance
