Slater & Gordon is currently recruiting for an experienced Lawyer to join our award winning Clinical Negligence team. Dealing with a variety of complex cases that stem from misdiagnoses or failure to diagnose such as spinal injury, brain injury, along with surgical errors and incorrect treatment, our team is highly ranked within Chambers and the Legal 500, whilst also winning individual awards for their work on high profile cases.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual with 3 – 8 years PQE in clinical negligence claims, who is experienced in managing their own case load, including litigated cases. We would however welcome applications from all lawyers with the requisite experience. We are therefore looking for a technically strong lawyer, who can also demonstrate empathy and excellent interpersonal skills.

There may also be the opportunity to work on more complex issues, along with assisting the wider team, and offering advice to junior colleagues. Working alongside our support staff of Paralegals and Legal Assistants, we would like those who can provide an excellent service to our clients, offering a high level of care, with experience running matters through to trial and who have exposure to complex casework.

What we offer in return:

  • Hybrid working – 2 days per week working in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute to the office)
  • 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
  • 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
  • Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days
  • Aviva Digicare+ Workplace App providing you with services including annual health checks, access to Digital GP’s, mental health consultations, 2nd medical opinions and much more
  • Employee Assistance Programme where you can access free webinars for stress awareness and counselling sessions
  • Group Income Protection which will support you with an income if you are unable to work long term, as a result of a qualifying illness or injury
  • Health and Wellbeing Programmes and apps including gym discounts, private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, meditation sessions and much more
  • Life Assurance cover
  • Benefits Hub providing discounts to over 700 services including cinema tickets, food and drink, travel, and high street stores
  • Free legal help and discounted lawyer led legal services
