Job Overview

Paralegal – Clinical Negligence (Phone based) in Manchester. This role involves taking instructions from potential clients over the phone regarding their clinical negligence claims, gathering necessary information, and maintaining accurate documentation while providing a supportive, empathetic customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accept and manage client calls, taking detailed instructions on clinical negligence claims.
  • Control the conversation, offer professional support and maintain a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Gather and document information accurately, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Assist fee earners with a variety of clinical negligence matters, such as obstetrics, orthopaedics, brain and spinal injury, and misdiagnosis.

Qualifications

  • A graduate or GDL background is required.
  • Basic understanding of the clinical negligence legal framework.
  • Experience or strong interest in a range of clinical negligence matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently on the phone.

Schedule & Contract

12‑month fixed‑term contract. Alternating shifts: 8:00‑16:00 or 10:00‑18:00. 35 hours per week, with 2 days hybrid working in the office (must live within a reasonable commute). 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays.
