Slater & Gordon is one of the UK’s leading consumer law firms, and we are looking for an experienced Probate Executive to join our growing Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality estate administration services while supporting clients through what is often a very difficult time.
Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of probate matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Advising clients on all aspects of estate administration, including intestacy, inheritance tax, and asset distribution.
- Preparing and submitting probate documentation and liaising with HMCTS, financial institutions, valuers, and beneficiaries.
- Providing clear, empathetic and proactive communication to clients throughout their matter.
- Ensuring all files are managed efficiently and in line with S&G processes, compliance standards and regulatory obligations.
- Contributing to team targets and maintaining strong billing performance as a key fee earner.
About You
- Experience working within a probate or Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate team.
- Strong working knowledge of administration processes and relevant legislation.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple files at different stages.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-centred approach.
- Ability to work independently while being an active part of a supportive, collaborative team.
