We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our successful Abuse and Public Inquiries team in Manchester.

Responsibilities:

  • Chase medical reports, review records and prepare trial bundles.
  • Manage medical/treatment instructions and send instructions to Counsel.
  • Pay disbursements and draft letters to clients.
  • Run retainers and assist Fee Earners with various tasks.
  • Review CCTV and book legal hearings.
  • Arrange conferences, manage ledgers (client balances and aged debt), and handle file transfers.
  • Provide updates to clients.

Qualifications:

Previous legal secretarial experience is required; a law degree is not required.
