We have an exciting opportunity for a Court of Protection Executive to join our team in Manchester.

As a COP Executive, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the financial affairs of Court of Protection clients and Personal Injury Trust (PIT) clients. You'll ensure that clients' assets, income and financial arrangements are managed efficiently, compliantly and in their best interests.

Working within a highly supportive team, you'll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities that directly impact the lives of clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing payments and invoices across your own caseload, while supporting colleagues as required.
  • Arranging payments from client accounts for litigated matters at application and pre-order stages.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate financial records.
  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Managing client benefits and ensuring entitlements are maintained.
  • Overseeing insurance policies, renewals and related administration.
  • Preparing annual Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) reports, including management and cost reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA guidance and best practice relating to cash and high-funds management.
  • Maintaining accurate records on bespoke financial and case management systems.
  • Supporting the preparation of:
    • Annual Deputy Review Meetings
    • Investment Management Beauty Parades
    • Investment Review Meetings
    • Litigation Meetings, including reporting on budgets, income and expenditure, and assets and liabilities
  • Supporting best-interest decision-making processes.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, families and professional contacts via telephone and email.
  • Ensuring compliance with AML, sanctions, risk management and wider regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong financial administration skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Experience working within Court of Protection, Personal Injury Trusts, legal services, financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service while supporting vulnerable individuals.
