We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Legal Assistant to join our Court of Protection team in Manchester. The Court of Protection is a specialist court that makes decisions for individuals who lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs or make decisions about their welfare. This role offers the chance to gain invaluable experience and develop your career alongside leading professionals in this field.
Responsibilities
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, ensuring correspondence is handled promptly and efficiently
- Maintaining and updating internal case management systems with accurate and timely information
- Processing payments, invoices, and financial records, ensuring compliance with firm procedures
- Assisting with the opening, monitoring, and maintenance of client and office bank accounts
- Organising and maintaining both physical and digital files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards
- Preparing, formatting, and managing legal documents with accuracy, version control, and accessibility in mind
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a legal assistant, administration, or support role (Court of Protection experience desirable)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
