We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our well established Finance team in Manchester. The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality analytical, planning, and stakeholder support across Shared Services, PI & OLS Legal teams and operational departments. This is a true business‑partnering role, focused on improving performance and driving value through close collaboration with non‑finance stakeholders, including Heads of Practice and commercial and operational teams. The role goes beyond reporting numbers; it involves using financial insight to challenge assumptions, inform decisions, and shape outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Heads of Shared Services and Legal functions, translating data into clear insights and trends.
- Supporting delivery of targets and driving efficiencies.
- Support Senior Business partner on collective actions and other projects.
- Produce robust financial and commercial analysis to support senior‑level decision‑making.
- Support preparation of budgets and ongoing analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify risks, sensitivities, and opportunities ahead of formal reviews.
- Automate or streamline recurring analysis where possible.
- Build strong understanding of the business areas supported.
About You
- Proven ability to influence and challenge effectively.
- Microsoft Excel (advanced) level.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred).
- Knowledge of a law firm (preferred but not essential).
- Setting realistic deadlines and putting contingency plans in place if they are likely to miss deadline.
- Organises and prioritises workload appropriately.
