Slater & Gordon is currently recruiting for an experienced Lawyer to join our award-winning Clinical Negligence team in Newcastle. Dealing with a variety of complex cases that stem from misdiagnoses or failure to diagnose such as spinal injury, brain injury, along with surgical errors and incorrect treatment, our team is highly ranked within Chambers and the Legal 500, whilst also winning individual awards for their work on high-profile cases.
Ideally, we are looking for an individual with experience in clinical negligence claims, who is capable of managing their own case load, including litigated cases. We are therefore looking for a technically strong lawyer, who can also demonstrate empathy and excellent interpersonal skills. There may also be the opportunity to work on more complex issues, along with assisting the wider team, and offering advice to junior colleagues.
Working alongside our support staff of Paralegals and Legal Assistants, we would like those who can provide an excellent service to our clients, offering a high level of care, with experience running matters through to trial and who have exposure to complex casework.
What we offer in return:
- Hybrid working β 2 days per week working in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute to the office)
- 35 hours per week β Monday to Friday
- 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
- Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days
