We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team in Manchester. The role will be key in supporting the management accounting function, providing valuable financial insights, and contributing to developing a high-class finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly management accounts for several entities, including providing supporting analysis where required.
  • Ensure all month end journals are accurate and are supported by adequate supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the production of the consolidated monthly management accounts through posting journals, ensuring accurate cost/revenue allocations.
  • Produce and maintain monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations where required.
  • Work closely with the transactions and payroll teams to ensure costs and income accounted for correctly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement and document process improvements.
  • Assist in the Audit, addressing inquiries and providing necessary supporting information.

About You:

  • Proven ability to influence and challenge effectively.
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced) level.
  • Experience in Management Accounts production and optimisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organises and prioritises workload appropriately.
  • Experience in a similar role (Part-qualified is preferred).
  • Knowledge of a law firm (Preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Preferred).
