About Pact Coffee

At Pact, we’re obsessed with incredible coffee.

We seek out the world’s best coffee growers - farmers whose skill and dedication produce coffees of rare quality.

They deserve more than a fair price: they deserve to see their coffee relished... savoured... talked about.

Our role is to honour that work - by roasting with precision, making every step effortless for our customers, and holding ourselves to the same uncompromising standards.

We want every cup to reflect the care of the grower, the rigour of our team, and the unmistakable pleasure of coffee at its best.

As a proud B Corp, we’re committed to doing business the right way. That means we’re held to account - for how we trade, how we treat people, and how we treat the land we use.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, from working closely with growers to working as a team to improve how we bring quality coffee to our customers.

If you share our infectious enthusiasm for exceptional coffee and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the day‑to‑day finance function and support Pact Coffee’s next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Head of Finance will also have the support of a Management Accountant.

Together, we aim to strengthen financial control, improve management information and provide greater commercial insight across the business.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Owning responsibility for the day‑to‑day finance functions.
  • Improving the month‑end process, without compromising accuracy.
  • Building monthly profitability reporting to support better commercial decisions.
  • Strengthening stock controls, stock reconciliations and COGS reporting.
  • Establishing business partnering relationships with D2C, B2B, Grocery, Coffee and Operations, providing financial insights to improve decision-making.
  • Developing a joined‑up demand planning process to support purchasing, production and labour planning.
  • Maintaining a weekly 13‑week cash flow forecast and improving short‑term cash visibility.
  • Improving credit control processes, escalation routes and management of overdue customers.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.
  • Mentor and develop the Management Accountant.

We’re looking for

  • Demonstrable technical accounting knowledge, including balance sheet controls, VAT and statutory reporting.
  • Recent experience in an inventory‑intensive business, ideally manufacturing, production or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of stock, COGS and margin accounting.
  • Experience in forecasting, financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Track record of improving and automating finance processes.
  • Strong commercial curiosity and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and taking ownership.

Salary bracket

Our Head Office is in London Bridge, but we offer a hybrid, flexible working environment.

We have an engaged, collaborative approach to work, a supportive leadership team, and our perks are great.

  • 23 days holiday (increasing annually up to 27 days) plus 3 days extra between Christmas & New Year, plus a day off for your birthday!
  • Hybrid working model (everyone is in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
