We’re looking for a Director to join the UK&I Technology Strategy & Advisory (TS&A) team. This is primarily an advisory role focusing on building and maintaining technology account leadership with our most important clients, holding C‑suite relationships, shaping their thinking on what comes next and leading engagements that define strategy, build the commercial case and connect the right capabilities across Slalom to deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted adviser relationships at CIO, CTO, CDO, and Heads of Engineering/Architecture level, staying present between engagements to shape the client’s technology agenda over time.
  • Own technology account leadership across key strategic accounts, understanding the client’s full technology estate and transformation ambitions while leading technology strategy engagements across application portfolio rationalisation, AI operating model design, investment case development, and programme assurance.
  • Connect people, process and technology considerations into coherent advice, bringing change management, operating model and organisational thinking into the work naturally and translating technology strategy conversations into credible programmes that draw on Slalom’s Business Strategy, Data & AI, Cloud & Software Engineering, Organisational Transformation & Change, CX, and Enterprise capabilities.
  • Drive pipeline growth through deep account relationships, thought leadership and proactive opportunity identification, contributing to the TS&A go‑to‑market motion through CxO roundtables, industry forums and hyperscaler co‑sell with AWS and Microsoft.
  • Partner with Client Partners and Capability leads to develop and close strategic opportunities, acting as solution lead or subject‑matter expert in key pursuits.
  • Lead technology strategy engagements end‑to‑end from problem definition to board‑ready outputs, act as Accountable Executive on key accounts managing engagement risk and client relationships, and ensure commercial rigour across SOW structuring, margin and engagement economics.
  • Coach and develop TS&A practitioners at all levels, contribute to the practice’s IP and capability development, and model the culture we are building: open, inclusive, direct and genuinely people‑first.

What You’ll Bring

  • Consulting or technology advisory background working across business strategy, technology change and organisational transformation, not purely architecture, delivery or engineering.
  • Experience building and holding senior client relationships at CIO, CTO or equivalent level, shaping the technology agenda rather than responding to it.
  • Broad understanding of the technology change landscape including legacy modernisation, cloud adoption, AI and data strategy, technology operating models, and the people and process dimensions that determine success.
  • Proven ability to connect technology strategy conversations to credible commercial opportunities and navigate a complex, multi‑capability organisation to deliver against them.
  • Strong commercial instinct: you know how to structure a SOW, manage margin and profitability, and ensure what we deliver creates value for the client and works for Slalom.
  • Genuine thought leadership credentials or clear ambition to build them, with a point of view on where technology is heading and the confidence to share it.
