We specialise in partnering with organisations that aspire to excellence, helping them tackle complex challenges and achieve transformative results through strategy, technology, and business transformation services. By prioritising people, Slalom creates a unique consulting experience, with a team of strategists and engineers delivering practical, end-to-end solutions that drive impactful outcomes for our clients.

Slalom UK is seeking a senior Financial Services Technical Account Lead to drive technology-led growth across Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management. This role will work closely with the Head of Financial Services, acting as the bridge between FS market ambitions and Slalom’s technology capabilities across Cloud, Data, AI and Engineering. It holds end-to-end accountability for technology-led pre-sales and solution shaping and plays a key role in identifying and prioritising FS technology delivery and capability needs to support sustainable growth. The role is instrumental in ensuring early phase engagements translate into scalable, high-quality delivery, with a strong focus on delivery excellence, consistency and client outcomes across the FS portfolio. This is a market-facing leadership role, with significant leadership influence over strategy, growth and client outcomes.

As a Technical Account Lead, you will act as a senior technology adviser to FS clients, shaping complex opportunities and providing leadership and assurance on strategic engagements. Your role is to align client business objectives with Slalom's technology capabilities, build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, and ensure early-stage work transitions into high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • FS Technology Advisory & Client Leadership: Serve as senior technology adviser to FS clients across banking, capital markets and wealth & asset management, leading executive-level conversations and shaping client agendas on technology strategy, cloud modernisation, data & AI and large-scale transformation.
  • Go-To-Market & Pre-Sales Leadership: Partner with Head of FS and Technology Capability teams to develop technology go-to-market strategy and lead technology-led pre-sales including opportunity shaping, executive storytelling and deal close. Work with Client Partners to progress complex, high-value opportunities from early advisory through to sustained delivery, contributing directly to FS revenue growth.
  • Capability Integration & Solution Shaping: Act as the bridge between FS GTM leadership and Slalom's Cloud, Data, AI and Build capabilities, shaping integrated solutions that align business objectives to technology execution and ensuring effective reuse of Slalom IP and partner propositions.
  • Delivery Leadership & Assurance: Provide senior leadership and assurance on strategically significant FS engagements, ensuring early-stage work transitions into high-quality, sustainable delivery and stepping into client leadership roles where senior technology credibility is required.
  • Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Amplify Slalom's brand as a credible FS technology voice in the UK market through client engagement, industry events and published viewpoints, whilst building strong relationships with key technology and cloud partners.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Deep Financial Services experience with strong exposure to banking, capital markets, and/or wealth & asset management.
  • Proven track record in technology-led transformation (cloud, data, AI, platforms, operating models).
  • Senior consulting background with strong pre-sales, deal shaping, and C-suite engagement experience.
  • Entrepreneurial and growth-focused, demonstrating strong commercial judgement and encouraging creativity with a sense of fun in tackling new challenges.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented, fostering a positive and enjoyable team atmosphere, and leading with a low-ego style.
  • Brings credibility, integrity, and calm leadership presence, together with an approachable manner and a large dose of good humour.
