What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the Data Governance (DG) discovery phase including business team interviews, identifying key business processes, and inventorying existing data assets
  • Work with Slalom peers to develop and/or revise Data and Data Governance strategies, frameworks, operating models, and key workflow processes
  • Work with our clients to define required technical and business metadata, identify data lineage needs, determine scanning schedules, and implement data catalog tools
  • Assess data quality, remediate data quality issues, develop data quality rules, create metrics, thresholds, and responses for data quality, and automate monitoring
  • Enhance Master Data Management (MDM) solutions by identifying key data elements, creating steps for cleansing and enrichment, developing match/merge rules, and identifying the appropriate review and approval processes
  • Train and coach candidate data stewards to steward their data by identifying data quality rules, associating policies, standards, and procedures, and defining proper data usage

What You’ll Bring

  • Collaborative solutioning approach to develop, sell and/or implement data governance recommendations based on a client’s needs, priorities, and environment
  • Hands-on experience working in a data governance technology (Databricks Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, Alation, Atlan, Collibra, and Ataccama)
  • Experience with defining and initiating Data Governance strategies, frameworks, operating models, and workflow processes
  • Experience with defining, organising and publishing business and technical metadata and implementing data management technologies (e.g., Data Catalog, Data Quality, Master Data Management)
  • Passion and drive that takes Data Governance to a value and outcome focused experience for clients
