Our fishing lakes are at the heart of the Seven Lakes experience, attracting Owners, Guests and visiting anglers throughout the year. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lakes & Fisheries Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance and future development of our fisheries. About You
You’ll be passionate about fishing, fish welfare and creating exceptional experiences for anglers. You’ll enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining high standards and be equally comfortable speaking with guests, enforcing rules and managing operational responsibilities. You’ll ideally have experience within fisheries, angling, lake management or a similar outdoor leisure environment, along with a good understanding of fish welfare, water quality and safe working practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the fishing lakes
- Supporting Owners, Guests and visiting anglers
- Carrying out permit checks and ensuring fishery rules are followed
- Maintaining lakes, banks, pegs, platforms and surrounding grounds
- Monitoring fish health, water quality and environmental conditions
- Coordinating fish stocking, habitat management and improvement projects
- Ensuring the lakes remain safe, compliant and well-presented
- Maintaining records, permit sales and operational reporting
- Working closely with Grounds, Maintenance, Security and Guest Experience teams
- Supporting the long-term development and sustainability of the fisheries
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience within fisheries, angling, lake management or a comparable outdoor environment
- Good knowledge of coarse and/or game angling and fish welfare
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational and record-keeping abilities
- Aware of health and safety within outdoor environments
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Previous fishery management or supervisory experience
- Experience of fish stocking, habitat management or water quality monitoring
- Permit sales or small retail experience
- First Aid, Water Safety or relevant industry qualifications
Hours of Work
This is a permanent, full-time role, typically worked over 5 days out of 7, including regular weekends, early mornings and evenings during the main fishing season.
