Key Responsibilities of the Crane Engineer
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Responding to breakdown call-outs across customer site
The Ideal Crane Engineer
- Experience within electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Comfortable working at height
Desirable Experience
- Overhead crane maintenance, servicing or inspection experience
- Industrial plant or heavy engineering background
- Knowledge of: + 3-phase 415v motors + Squirrel cage and wound rotor motors + Contactor and relay control circuits + 110v and 48v control systems + Stop/start and reset circuits + Inverters and variable speed drive systems This role would suit an electrically biased engineer, crane engineer, lifting equipment engineer, maintenance engineer or service engineer looking to join a growing business with excellent support, training and earning potential.
