Key Responsibilities of the Crane Engineer

  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Responding to breakdown call-outs across customer site

The Ideal Crane Engineer

  • Experience within electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Comfortable working at height

Desirable Experience

  • Overhead crane maintenance, servicing or inspection experience
  • Industrial plant or heavy engineering background
  • Knowledge of: + 3-phase 415v motors + Squirrel cage and wound rotor motors + Contactor and relay control circuits + 110v and 48v control systems + Stop/start and reset circuits + Inverters and variable speed drive systems This role would suit an electrically biased engineer, crane engineer, lifting equipment engineer, maintenance engineer or service engineer looking to join a growing business with excellent support, training and earning potential.
