Job Title: Maintenance Shift Fitter

Location: Doncaster, UK
Salary: Circa £45,000+ per annum
Hours: Full-Time | 42 hours/week (12-hour rotating day & night shifts)

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Shift Fitter to join our client\’s Doncaster site. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all plant equipment through effective maintenance, repair, and installation work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills and a hands-on approach to engineering within a process or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct day-to-day maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery.

  • Carry out risk assessments before starting any maintenance task.

  • Install, maintain, and commission new and existing equipment without disrupting production.

  • Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance in line with the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.

  • Diagnose faults and proactively resolve mechanical issues to reduce downtime.

Candidate Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship or a recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Strong fabrication and mechanical fitting skills are essential.

  • Experience in refrigeration systems is advantageous.

  • Previous experience in a factory, process, or production environment is required.
