Overview: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at our client's manufacturing facility in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our equipment and machinery run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on minimising downtime through effective preventative and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
- Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with site and industry standards
- Participate in a 4-weekly on-call rota, providing support for breakdowns outside normal working hours
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within manufacturing
- Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge and capability
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
