Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Plant Mechanical Engineer – Foundry Environment Location: Dronfield, Derbyshire Job Type: Full-Time | Shift Pattern: Panama Days/Nights Salary: £52,000 per annum + Monthly Bonus We’re looking for a motivated and experienced engineer to join our client\’s maintenance team in Dronfield. Key Responsibilities: * Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Maintain and repair a range of mechanical plant and foundry equipment to ensure minimal downtime. * Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Diagnose and resolve issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, maintaining performance and safety standards. * Engineering Drawings: Confidently interpret and work from mechanical engineering drawings during installations, repairs, and upgrades. * Health & Safety: Promote and adhere to all site safety practices, contributing to a safe and compliant working environment. What We’re Looking For: * Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a foundry, heavy industry, or manufacturing environment. * Technical Knowledge: Strong hands-on skills in hydraulics and pneumatics. * Reading Drawings: Able to accurately interpret complex mechanical drawings. * Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not essential).
