Key Responsibilities of the Crane Engineer:
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Responding to breakdown call-outs across customer site
The Ideal Crane Engineer:
- Experience within electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Comfortable working at height
Desirable Experience:
- Overhead crane maintenance, servicing or inspection experience
- Industrial plant or heavy engineering background
- Knowledge of:
- 3-phase 415v motors
- Squirrel cage and wound rotor motors
- Contactor and relay control circuits
- 110v and 48v control systems
- Stop/start and reset circuits
- Inverters and variable speed drive systems
