Job Title: CNC Turner Location: Wakefield Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (44 hours per week, including a 1-hour break each night) Rate: Starting at £20 per hour, plus a 25% night shift allowance Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist * Operate and set up HAAS 3-axis vertical machining centres (VF2 to VF9 models). * Program machines for producing specific component parts as needed. * Ensure components are manufactured within tolerance according to technical drawings. * Maintain a clean and organised workspace. * Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as needed. Key Skills & Experience of the CNC Machinist * Proficiency in setting and operating HAAS turning machines; programming experience is a plus. * Familiarity with relevant inspection and measuring tools. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment. * Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed. * Excellent attention to detail. * Knowledge of 4th and 5th axis operations is advantageous. * Minimum: City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline (desirable).
