We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and detailed-oriented student intern to join our Wafer Fab Material/Supply team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping improve material planning efficiencies. You will work closely with our supply chain and material team members to analyze current processes and contribute to solutions that enhance material management and planning performance and streamline operations. This is an excellent learning opportunity in the following areas:

Duration of internship: 3 months between the summer months (May - September)
Responsibilities- Supply Planning & MRP: Develop, execute, and maintain MRP strategies to align supply with demand forecasts and vendor shipment schedules. Ensure material availability while balancing cost, risk, and inventory targets. Proactively assess demand trends, raw material shifts, and capacity constraints to mitigate supply risks and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Forecasting & Inventory Management: Develop and maintain robust supply forecasts using statistical models, historical data, and market intelligence. Guide inventory targets, factory build plans, and material purchase strategies aligned with revenue plans. Manage inventory accuracy, allocations, and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) risk.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Operations, Business Units, Supply Chain, Quality, and Logistics to align demand and supply plans. Support communication with strategic customers regarding supply, demand alignment, and capacity constraints.
- Data & Continuous Improvement: Analyze demand, supply, and shipment data to identify risks, opportunities, and trade-offs. Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency. Partner with business teams on Power BI reporting and dashboard development to improve visibility and decision making.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business analytics, Supply Chain, or Engineering management - focuses on Operations, Supply chain or Business analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex processes and datasets to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Capable of critical thinking and independent problem-solving related to process optimization and digitalization initiatives.
- High attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to document, analyze, and present findings clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, and experience with forecasting, inventory analysis, and MRP concepts.
- Basic understanding or prior exposure to supply chain principles, including manufacturing processes, planning, inventory management, demand forecasting, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Working knowledge or exposure to ERP, MRP systems, including SAP.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or similar languages.
- Relevant coursework or internship experience in supply chain, Business analytics, or process optimization.
