Position to reside on the B1 day shift (5:24 am to 5:35 pm THURS, FRI, SAT Plus 1 WED on/off) after the initial two-week training period.

Description

As a Fabrication Technician you will perform wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operate equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch deposition, testing, and diffusion. Manage workflows to optimize equipment output performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wafer fabrication by following work instruction and documented procedures.
  • Operate equipment to perform various stages of the wafer fabrication process.
  • Perform measurements and analysis of critical parameters and record data.
  • Adhere to clean room protocol and work practices, including wearing PPE for long periods of time.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Move materials or finished goods from one location to another; may involve pushing, pulling, or lifting (up to 20 pounds) or bending.
  • Visually inspect and recognize quality defects.
  • Handle fragile GaAs wafers and precious metals, such as gold and platinum.
  • Mix wet chemistries.
  • Collect and log data into computer-based applications.

Required Experience and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Basic mathematical computations and writing tasks.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
  • Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate components of various sizes.
  • Ability to understand directions and adhere to established procedures.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Lifts, handles, and reaches to use tools such as pliers, large tweezers, hand-held scanners, etc.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills including MS Office Suite.
  • Dependable team player.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Prior semiconductor manufacturing experience and knowledge of overall Wafer FAB operational proficiency (process, tools, flows).
  • Knowledge of cleanroom practices and protocols.
  • Problem solving abilities to troubleshoot.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$16.97 - $27.69 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
