Seeking a student for a Summer/Fall Co-op with analytical and programming skills to work as part of the process engineering team in the manufacture of GaAs power amplifier circuits. The student’s project is to develop programs and procedures to facilitate finding the root cause of various fabrication issues. This work involves implementing procedures to track wafer numbers used in fab tools, automating data mining of the fab database, and correlation to determine the root cause of fab issues. The student will work with the fab engineering team in a fast-paced 24x7 GaAs Fab. Requires a student with fundamentals in computer science with programming skills. An academic background in physics, chemistry, or material science with familiarity with integrated circuit fabrication is desired. This work requires good interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement procedure to determine wafer number used in fab tools
- Automate data mining and correlation procedure to determine fab issues
- Make the programs readable and editable
- Document, train and communicate the project to the engineering team
Required Experience and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in BS/MS/PhD computer science or engineering program
- Able to work onsite up to 6 months (June - December 2026)
- Experienced in programming
- Be able to work in a clean room
- Must be able to effectively communicate with other teams
