They are extremely selective about the work they take on, and have an unbelievably good staff retention rate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, gaining greater responsibility and exposure to technically challenging commercial projects while working alongside experienced construction and MEP professionals.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting projects from tender stage through to completion, working closely with pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting two-stage tender processes, reviewing designs, specifications and technical information to help develop robust and commercially viable solutions.
  • Contributing to value engineering exercises, identifying opportunities to improve buildability, programme and cost efficiency without compromising quality or performance.
  • Reviewing MEP designs and technical submissions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders throughout design development and project delivery.
  • Assisting with procurement activities, including technical appraisal of subcontractor proposals and package reviews.
  • Managing RFIs and technical queries during both pre-construction and delivery phases.
  • Monitoring installation progress on site, identifying technical issues and supporting their resolution.
  • Attending design team, subcontractor and client meetings, providing technical input and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Supporting commissioning, handover and close-out activities to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.

What They're Looking For

  • Degree, HNC or HND in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Typically 3-6 years' experience within a main contractor, MEP contractor or building services consultancy environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
  • Experience supporting projects through both design and delivery stages.
  • Exposure to two-stage tendering, pre-construction activities and value engineering processes.
  • Ability to review technical information and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Why This Role?

  • Exposure to complex refurbishment and fit-out projects across London.
