Our client is a premier Tier 1 MEP contractor renowned for delivering complex, high-value engineering services across the UK.
They have been secured to deliver the full, multi-million-pound MEP package for an iconic, large-scale educational and research facility upgrade in Norfolk.
The Role
We are seeking a driven Electrical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of all electrical infrastructure.
You will manage the installation of high/low voltage distribution, intelligent lighting systems, data networks, and specialist life safety systems.
You will ensure all works meet strict heritage and modern environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all site-based electrical installation and containment works.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate main containment paths through complex, retrofitted building fabrics.
- Authorise and manage electrical RAMS, permits to work, and site safety.
- Interface daily with the principal contractor's team to resolve coordination issues.
- Lead electrical testing, commissioning, and final inspection sign-offs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on large-scale commercial or public sector builds.
- Strong background in electrical engineering, containment, and system commissioning.
- Experience dealing with complex retrofits or heavily serviced research facilities is preferred.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and JIB/ECS Gold Card.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of driving tight schedules safely
