My client is a rapidly expanding MEP Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and Shell & Core projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their delivery team.

Role Overview:

The Mechanical Construction Manager will take full responsibility for the on-site delivery of mechanical packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing mechanical installation works from early construction through to commissioning and handover
  • Driving site programme and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials on site
  • Leading Mechanical Supervisors, Foremen and operatives
  • Working closely with Project Managers, commercial teams and planners
  • Attending site meetings with clients, consultants and main contractors
  • Overseeing quality assurance, inspections and commissioning activities
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Identifying and resolving on-site coordination and buildability issues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Supervisor within MEP contracting
  • Strong mechanical bias with experience on commercial construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage site teams and subcontractors
  • Good understanding of programme delivery and site coordination
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
