A respected workplace design and build contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Technical Services Manager for a £2m CAT B commercial fit-out in London. The company delivers high-quality commercial interiors through an integrated design, technical and construction model. You will support the Technical Services Manager with MEP coordination from design development and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover. This position would suit an Assistant Technical Services Manager, MEP Coordinator or Building Services Engineer looking to progress within commercial fit-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical and public-health services.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design information.
- Coordinate services with ceilings, partitions, joinery, furniture and architectural finishes.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, samples and approval schedules.
- Assist with MEP procurement and track equipment through to site delivery.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors and monitor progress against programme.
- Attend design, site and project-progress meetings.
- Carry out quality inspections and resolve installation issues.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, landlord teams and the wider project team.
- Support testing, commissioning, O&M manuals and final handover.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in an Assistant Technical Services Manager, MEP Coordinator, Building Services Engineer or similar role.
- Commercial fit-out or refurbishment experience.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination and installation within CAT B projects.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience working with MEP subcontractors and technical supply-chain partners.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ambition to progress into a Technical Services Manager position.
