We are working with an extremely highly regarded Main Contractor delivering complex refurbishment and fit-out projects across London. Known for their collaborative approach and strong client relationships, they are heavily involved in two-stage tendering, working closely with end clients from early design through to delivery.
The Role
You will work closely with senior engineers, commercial teams and pre-construction leads, supporting projects from tender stage through to delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting two-stage tender processes, assisting with design development, cost planning and technical reviews
- Working alongside estimating and commercial teams to contribute to value engineering exercises, identifying cost-effective design solutions without compromising performance
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions
- Assisting with coordination between design, commercial and delivery teams
- Supporting procurement of MEP packages and supplier engagement
- Attending design and client meetings, gaining exposure to stakeholder management
- Assisting with site-based engineering support during project delivery
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- 1-3 years' experience within an MEP contractor, consultancy or subcontractor environment
- Strong interest in pre-construction, design and value engineering
- Understanding of building services systems (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Keen to develop within a two-stage tendering environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
