Your tasks
Job Purpose:
Working within the training department at Skytanking Aviation Services, you will oversee training at a dedicated station and occasionally assist at other stations. Reporting to the Training Manager, you will manage all station training for both FOH and BOH, including induction, mandatory training for new staff, upskilling existing staff, and re-training as needed. You will ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements, maintain a training matrix to keep staff training up-to-date, assist with station audits, and support external audits by airlines and regulators.
Main Responsibilities & Objectives:
- Ensure regular and relevant mandatory training for employees.
- Based at Birmingham Airport, with occasional travel to other stations.
- Work flexible hours, including night shifts with prior notice.
- Deliver training across all stations in compliance with standards.
- Stay updated on industry standards and legislative changes.
- Administer and report from the Learning Management System.
- Coordinate with HR, enforcement agencies, and local authorities.
- Ensure training aligns with UK CAA National Aviation Security Programme.
- Conduct induction, classroom, and practical training.
- Perform training effectiveness audits and support external audits.
- Attend off-station training courses as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
- English and Math GCSE grade C or above
- Formal Training Qualification (AET) and ideally a CIN Qualification (Security compliance)
- Experience in Aviation, Ground Handling, Ramp activities, and ground servicing equipment
- Background in Front of House duties, Operations, and Dispatch is a plus
Must be able to:
- Provide a 5-year work and activity history without gaps
- Have been a UK resident for the last 5 years
- Obtain a clear DBS certificate
