Top Jobs Group is seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a well‑established leader in the Building Merchants sector. This is a premier permanent opportunity for a skilled driver looking for stability, a Monday to Friday schedule.
Salary and Benefits
- £42,500 per annum (including bonus)
- Plus overtime at time and a half
- Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7am starts
- Holiday: 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
- Stability: Full‑time, permanent contract with a reputable company
Core Responsibilities
- Transport & Delivery: Executing the timely and safe collection and multi‑drop delivery of building materials to trade and retail customers.
- HIAB Operations: Safely operating lorry‑mounted loaders to ensure precise loading and securing of goods.
- Compliance: Maintaining full adherence to EU Road Transport Regulations, WTD, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting and recording daily vehicle walk‑round checks to ensure the fleet remains roadworthy.
- Client Interface: Delivering exceptional customer service at every point of delivery and collection.
Candidate Requirements
- Licensing: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license and a current accredited HIAB certification (essential).
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of HGV driving experience, ideally with 90 days of tacho‑recorded driving in the last six months.
- Qualifications: Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card; forklift experience is beneficial but training is available.
- Standards: A positive approach to Health & Safety with a clean license preferred (all endorsements must be disclosed).
