We are seeking an experienced Van Driver for a fast‑paced logistics company based in Dartford Crossing, Kent. Temp‑to‑Perm position.
6 am start – must be able to arrive at Dartford Crossing for a 6 am start. Monday‑Friday first week, then Tuesday‑Saturday the following week (rotating schedule).
Compensation: £17.73 per hour (Umbrella Rate – includes employer’s NI, apprenticeship levy, and holiday pay). Free CPC training. Free car parking.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
- No more than 6 points on the licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and report any faults.
- Make up to 25 drops per day.
- Manual handling – heavy lifting involved.
- Unload the vehicle (vehicles will be loaded in the mornings).
- Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed in a timely manner, unloading and delivering to the final point as requested.
- Verify Proof of Delivery paperwork is correct and authorised.
- Provide excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
