Our vision?

To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious?

Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Internal Communications Manager (12 month FTC) to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About The Role

(Hybrid)

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative and collaborative Senior Internal Communications Manager to join our small, agile Internal Communications team on a 12 month FTC.

This is a leadership communications role.

You’ll help shape how our senior leaders bring Skyscanner’s strategy, business priorities and culture to life for our people, making sure colleagues understand where we’re heading, why it matters and how they can play their part.

From shaping our monthly master narrative to running our monthly Town Hall live event, this role is about helping our people feel informed, connected and ready for the journey ahead.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own and shape Skyscanner’s monthly master narrative, bringing together our strategy, business priorities, culture and colleague moments into one clear story.
  • Apply the monthly master narrative across our key internal channels, making sure leadership messages, Town Hall content, colleague updates and wider communications feel joined up, timely and useful.
  • Lead leadership communications across a range of key channels, helping senior leaders communicate with clarity, consistency and confidence.
  • Own and run our monthly Town Hall live events, including the narrative, agenda, speaker preparation, content development and follow up communications.
  • Lead internal communications plans for key business priorities, change programmes, leadership updates and employee engagement moments.
  • Bring a strong editorial eye to our communications, helping us turn complex topics into simple, human and engaging stories about our people, our progress and the impact we are making for travellers.
  • Work closely with People, Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Product, Engineering and other partner teams to keep communications aligned, purposeful and easy for colleagues to understand.
  • Partner with creative, production and agency teams to develop experimental communications moments that feel fresh, thoughtful and engaging.
  • Use colleague insight, feedback and channel data to understand what is landing well, spot risks and improve future communications.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience in internal communications, employee communications, leadership communications or corporate communications, ideally in a fast moving, global or technology led business.
  • Excellent storytelling skills across written, live and filmed content, with the ability to make complex topics simple, useful and engaging.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and advise on communication strategy, messaging, timing, tone and delivery.
  • Experience developing and delivering communications for business priorities, change, transformation, employee engagement or culture programmes.
  • Experience planning and delivering live internal events, such as town halls, all hands meetings, leadership sessions or colleague broadcasts.
  • Strong understanding of internal channels and how to use them well, including intranet, email, Slack or Teams, live events, leader toolkits and digital content.
  • Experience working with creative, production or agency partners to create high quality communications assets, campaigns or colleague experiences.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support the communications process, including research, planning, drafting, editing, content development and creative idea generation.
  • Sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the confidence to challenge constructively when a message, channel or plan needs to be sharper.
  • Highly organised and comfortable working at pace, moving between strategic planning and hands on delivery without losing sight of the details.
  • Collaborative, curious and calm under pressure, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions, geographies and levels.
