Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all. Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally.

About the role

(Hybrid) Content might start with words, but this role is about so much more than writing. You'll own editorial strategy and day-to-day content operations across our APAC markets, balancing creativity with commercial impact, and local relevance with global consistency. Working across SEO, PR, Lifecycle, Brand and Product, you'll help create content that travellers love and search engines do too. You'll also champion smarter AI-powered workflows, manage skilled freelancers, and keep a complex international content operation running as smoothly as a perfectly planned itinerary.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning APAC Editorial Strategy: You will lead the planning and production of content for the APAC region. This includes markets like Australia, Japan, Korea, India, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. You must ensure that every piece delivers value for travellers and the business.
  • Creating Content That Performs: You will commission, optimise, and refresh content. You will use your editorial judgment and SEO skills. You will also use performance insights. This approach will keep our content relevant, competitive, and easy to find.
  • Managing World-Class Freelancers: You will find and brief freelance writers and editors. You will build solid relationships with them. Your goal is to help them create high-quality content and keep projects on schedule.
  • Leading Content Operations: You will be a Contentful expert. Your tasks will include publishing content and supporting colleagues. You will also ensure that editorial workflows run smoothly during launches, migrations, and bustling travel periods.
  • Using Data to Drive Decisions: You'll monitor content performance, identify new opportunities, and use analytics to shape future commissioning and optimisation priorities.
  • Championing AI-Native Workflows: You'll experiment with AI tools to improve planning, briefing and production, while applying robust editorial judgement to ensure quality, accuracy and local relevance never take a holiday.
  • Collaborating Across Skyscanner: You'll work closely with SEO, PR, Lifecycle, Brand and Product teams to deliver campaigns and content that support growth, engage travellers and bring brilliant ideas to life.

About you

  • Editorially accomplished: You've built your career in content marketing, editorial management or publishing, and know how to deliver extraordinary content at scale.
  • SEO and AI search savvy: You understand SEO inside out, have a well-developed hold of AI search and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and know how great editorial content earns visibility.
  • Data-driven by nature: You're comfortable using analytics and performance insights to prioritise work, optimise content and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Exceptionally organised: You thrive managing multiple markets, stakeholders and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
  • Collaborative and globally minded: You're confident working across time zones, managing freelancers and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver shared goals.
  • Digitally fluent: You have hands-on experience with Contentful or another CMS, enjoy learning new tools, and are excited by how AI can enhance editorial workflows.
  • Traveller-first: You combine deep editorial judgement with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for creating travel content that helps people explore the world with confidence.

Bonus points if:

  • You've used tools such as GA4, Kubit or similar content performance platforms, collaborated with localisation partners or bring multilingual experience, and have familiarity with digital asset management tools such as Bynder.
