Procurement Manager – Technology

About the Role
As a member of the Finance Tribe, you’ll shape Skyscanner’s evolving procurement function in a high‑growth environment. You’ll collaborate globally, design value‑driven strategies, and ensure every spend delivers commercial, strategic, and sustainable value.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning category strategy for Technology (SaaS, Cloud, Data/AI, InfoSec) and other category areas.
- Running end‑to‑end sourcing activity and leading RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.
- Negotiating smart commercials, pricing, service credits, and outcome‑based models.
- Partnering with Legal to craft MSAs/SOWs/SLAs focused on IPR, liability, and audit compliance.
- Embedding sustainability, supplier diversity, and third‑party risk management.
- Leading QBRs, monitoring SLAs/KPIs, handling escalations, and driving innovation with strategic suppliers.
- Optimising consumption together with Engineering, IT, and FinOps to reduce SaaS and Cloud TCO.
- Improving procurement playbooks, templates, policies, and driving adoption of eSourcing/S2P and CLM tools.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, framing problems, surfacing insight, and influencing decisions.
- Tracking benefits, capturing savings, value adds, and risk reductions in collaboration with Finance.
About You
- Hands‑on, fast‑transitioning, and team‑driven.
- Proven procurement experience in dynamic, high‑growth settings.
- Technical sourcing depth across SaaS, Cloud, Data/AI, InfoSec, and IT.
- Contract fluency, especially on IP, SLAs, liability, and exit clauses.
- Commercially astute negotiator with data‑driven influence.
- Risk‑aware with practical supplier risk and due diligence.
- Data savvy — modelling TCOs, tracking benefits, and making data‑driven decisions.
- Trusted advisor with clear communication across levels.
- Tooling literate, familiar with eSourcing/S2P and CLM platforms, and enthusiastic about AI impact.
- Independent, gritty, and comfortable balancing strategy and execution.
- Travel‑ready for occasional supplier visits.
- Nice to have: MCIPS/CPSM, FinOps collaboration, ISO 20400, broad IT infrastructure knowledge.
