At OMNIA Training, we’ve brought together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations under one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best-trained Army in the world. OMNIA are redefining the British Army’s collective training. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. OMNIA is at the heart of the UK’s bold Land Industrial Strategy. This is more than a job — it’s a mission. You will be part of a high-impact, collaborative environment, where every person in our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA’s vision; designing, delivering, and transforming collective training.

Please note that this hybrid role will require onsite working from our site in Warminster. Due to the nature of this role, Skyral can only consider applications from candidates who live in the UK and are eligible for Government Security Clearance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • This is not a research modelling role. You will build models that are used in real training systems, where performance, integration, and usability matter as much as correctness.
  • Develop and adapt models based on authority-provided data, SME input and training needs.
  • Implement behavioural logic, effects, interactions, and environmental responses in a way that is both representative and computationally efficient.
  • Tune models to balance fidelity, performance, and scalability, making pragmatic trade-offs based on how the model will actually be used.
  • Design models to be reusable and composable, contributing to a broader simulation ecosystem rather than one-off implementations.
  • Ensure models behave coherently when composed with other models and systems, including handling timing, synchronisation, and interaction consistency.
  • Integrate models with other simulation components, terrain and environment systems, and external systems (e.g. HLA, DIS, APIs).
