The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 € per year.

Provide information to new returnees at Torkham Zero Point regarding available services and support.

Identify individuals with protection concerns at the Zero Point, provide initial protection support, and refer them to appropriate service providers.

Maintain and regularly update the service mapping; follow case management procedures during client referrals and follow-ups.

Monitor clients’ progress consistently, ensuring services are delivered according to established criteria and standards.

Ensure timely updates to the service mapping for referrals and submit weekly updates to track the progress of referred clients.

Adhere strictly to IRW policies, procedures, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.

Support the implementation of the assigned support function portfolio in accordance with the action plan.

Conduct outreach to promote human rights awareness among returnees and communities.

Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving support function activities.

Liaise and collaborate with local authorities, community representatives, and other key stakeholders.

Ensure timely collection, documentation, and sharing of relevant information.

Assist in the development and implementation of holistic, needs-based programmes, including cash-based interventions.

Ensure that all activities are accurately documented and recorded in a timely manner.

Facilitate referrals of beneficiaries to internal and external service providers for additional support, as required.

Qualification:

  • University degree in Law/Sharia, Political Science or Journalism, and Environmental science a valid degree from the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • An understanding of the basic principles of humanitarian work, human rights, protection, and the needs of internally displaced persons and refugees in Afghanistan.
  • Interest in humanitarian work and human rights, ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to clearly express one’s thoughts, to analyze and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to set priorities and show initiative, to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in protection, and case management preferably with IDPs/refugees/returnees.
  • Demonstrated strong experience working with vulnerable clients, including survivors at risk and victims of child abuse.
  • Strong knowledge of protection interviewing techniques and communicating with the affected population.
  • Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Protection Support in Emergency Settings.
  • Understanding the psychosocial support needs of IDPs/refugees in Afghanistan.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Professionally understand (read and write) Pashto and Dari.
