Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, structured training plans, lesson materials, and resources tailored to various freelancing platforms (e.g., Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, Total).
  • Conduct interactive workshops, hands-on sessions, case studies, and simulations to foster engagement and maximize learning outcomes.
  • Regularly review and update the training curriculum to incorporate the latest industry trends and platform changes.
  • Support the project team in preparing final reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future interventions.
  • Monitor and report on the participants' progress, success stories, and challenges.
  • Ensure participants understand ethical aspects of freelancing, such as client communication, project management, and intellectual property.
  • Conduct pre- and post-program assessments to measure skill development and knowledge acquisition.
  • Facilitate the creation of freelancing profiles for participants on international freelancing platforms.
  • Conduct online webinars on freelancing opportunities, registration processes, and the benefits of e-work.
  • Teach essential freelancing skills such as profile creation, portfolio development, proposal writing, effective client communication, and time management.
  • Assist in selecting the most suitable youths for freelancing training based on their expertise, interests, and market demand.
  • Provide training on building a personal brand and navigating freelance marketplaces to attract clients.

  • Continuously assess the progress and performance of trainees through assignments, tests, projects, and feedback sessions.
  • Maintain detailed records of trainees' achievements, performance metrics, and development over the course of the program.
  • Provide periodic reports on trainee progress, program effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest freelancing market trends, industry best practices, tools, and strategies to incorporate into the training curriculum.
  • Train participants on leveraging productivity tools, communication platforms, and payment systems used widely in freelancing, such as project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello), communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack), and payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Payoneer).

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Education, IT, Business, Social Sciences, or related disciplines).
  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum 1–2 years) as a trainer, training facilitator, or instructor, with demonstrated experience in freelancing, electronic work, or e-commerce. Prior experience as a freelancing trainer is highly desirable. Strong, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple freelancing platforms and their operational dynamics, along with practical experience in the relevant training subject. Experience working with youth, NGOs, INGOs, or development projects is an asset. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Ability to deliver participatory and learner-centered training. Good reporting and documentation skills. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for popular freelancing niches, including but not limited to graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), web development tools, and project management platforms.
