Job Summary
Skyline Whitespace designs and delivers high-quality exhibition stands for clients across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our build team and are seeking experienced Exhibition Stand Builders to support the delivery of projects across a busy and varied events schedule. This is a practical, hands‑on role requiring flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The role involves regular travel, physical work, and extended hours during peak periods. Key Responsibilities
- Build and dismantle bespoke and modular exhibition stands at UK and European venues
- Undertake pre-builds and preparation work within the warehouse
- Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring equipment and materials are secured correctly
- Prepare tools, materials, and components in advance of installations
- Read and work from technical drawings, floorplans, and build documentation
- Carry out practical build tasks including carpentry, fitting panels, installing graphics, flooring, lighting, and finishing works
- Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and fellow build team members to resolve on‑site issues
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, health and safety, and housekeeping on‑site and in the warehouse
- Represent Skyline Whitespace professionally when working at venues and with clients
Travel, hours, and overtime
- Regular travel across the UK, with European travel as required
- Overnight stays are part of the role
- Working hours are dictated by event schedules and may include early starts, late finishes, weekends, and peak‑period working
- Overtime is always available during busy periods and can be paid or taken as time off in lieu, by agreement
Education
GCSE and A-Level Qualifications preferred
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven hands‑on experience in exhibition build, events, set build, joinery, construction, or a similar environment
- Confident use of hand and power tools
- Good understanding of health and safety and safe manual handling
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- IOSH Health and Safety qualification or equivalent
- Experience working at UK and European exhibition venues
