Job Overview
We are looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our organisation. This role requires excellent communication skills, a confident telephone manner, and an understanding of neurodiversity to ensure all enquiries are handled with patience and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, approachable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing enquiries via telephone, email, and the website, ensuring all queries are responded to promptly and professionally.
- Directing enquiries to the appropriate department or colleague as needed, facilitating smooth communication and timely responses.
- Providing a welcoming experience for all callers and email enquiries, ensuring a positive first impression of the organisation.
- Maintaining a professional and confident telephone manner, adapting communication style to accommodate different needs, including neurodiverse individuals.
- Understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals, ensuring interactions are handled with patience, clarity, and sensitivity.
- Keeping accurate records of calls and enquiries, maintaining organised logs for reference and follow-ups.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and provide support where necessary.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
