Job Overview

We are looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our organisation. This role requires excellent communication skills, a confident telephone manner, and an understanding of neurodiversity to ensure all enquiries are handled with patience and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, approachable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing enquiries via telephone, email, and the website, ensuring all queries are responded to promptly and professionally.
  • Directing enquiries to the appropriate department or colleague as needed, facilitating smooth communication and timely responses.
  • Providing a welcoming experience for all callers and email enquiries, ensuring a positive first impression of the organisation.
  • Maintaining a professional and confident telephone manner, adapting communication style to accommodate different needs, including neurodiverse individuals.
  • Understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals, ensuring interactions are handled with patience, clarity, and sensitivity.
  • Keeping accurate records of calls and enquiries, maintaining organised logs for reference and follow-ups.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and provide support where necessary.

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette with the ability to manage enquiries effectively.
  • Awareness and understanding of neurodiversity, ensuring inclusive and supportive interactions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a busy environment.
