Skylight Psychiatry is a forward-thinking, dynamic mental health service. We are a CQC registered service delivering person-centred assessment, care and support, with our ultimate aim being to improve the lives of people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented clinician to join our team as ADOS Assessor (Associate) on a self-employed ad hoc basis.

Please note you must hold an ADOS certification, and have at least one year of experience administering ADOS module 4 to be considered for this position.

The successful candidate will conduct Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) assessments in person in Prestwich. Appointments will be offered and booked in line with service demand, which will most likely be to meet requests for an appointment outside of usual business hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ADOS assessments in accordance with NICE guidelines.
  • Prepare and provide the corresponding report following each assessment within the requested timeframe.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team as required to discuss and agree outcomes and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the scope of the services being provided.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures of Skylight Psychiatry, and work in line with our core values.
  • Join Slack, an app which the team use to connect, communicate key updates, discuss ideas and reflect on practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in autism assessment.
  • Opportunities will be made available when possible to attend relevant training.
  • Attendance at reflective practice sessions, clinical governance meetings, and company events will be optional.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Minimum one year experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and conducting ADOS-2 assessments module 4.
  • ADOS-2 certification.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (Self funded if not on update service, support provided).
  • Registered with a relevant professional body with no restrictions on practice.
  • In date training in line with CSTF (Self funded if not already held. We can recommend providers).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Within one hour travelling distance of the clinic location.

Associates will be expected to have their own equipment and supplies (including ADOS). Room bookings will be managed by our admin team. Training on our patient record system will be provided.
