Overview
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: £45,000 pro-rata (3 months)
Location: Basingstoke - Hybrid/Remote (with occasional travel to office as required)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Act as Consultant Lead for ADHD services
- Provide prescribing oversight
- Undertake complex clinical reviews
- Supervise ADHD prescribers and substantive clinicians
- Provide consultant advice and support
- Line manage Specialty Psychiatrists
- Participate in governance activities
- Support quality assurance processes
- Support MDT meetings
- Provide clinical leadership for ADHD pathways
Person Specification
Essential
- GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist
- CCT in Psychiatry or Learning Disability Psychiatry
- Section 12 approval (or eligibility)
- Demonstrable experience in ADHD and/or Autism assessment and management
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and clinical governance
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills and digital literacy
Desirable
- Experience working within neurodevelopmental assessment services
- Experience contributing to service development or pathway design
- Understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks
- Leadership, medical management or quality improvement training
