We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our growing team. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to analyse business needs, translate them into system requirements, and support the delivery of effective technology solutions. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional system requirements
- Produce high-quality documentation such as: Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, Process flows and data models
- Work closely with developers, testers, and solution architects to ensure requirements are correctly understood and implemented
- Support system design discussions and contribute to solution options
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case preparation and defect triage
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Support change management activities, including impact analysis and stakeholder communication
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
- Strong understanding of business processes and systems analysis
- Experience working with digital platforms, enterprise systems, or software implementations
- Ability to write clear, structured requirements and documentation
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience working on HR, payroll, finance, or enterprise systems
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Knowledge of data analysis, integrations, and APIs
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., HMRC, GDPR, compliance-driven projects)
