Full Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Consultancy, the ERP Consultant will be responsible for delivering quality implementations and service days across various projects, ensuring a positive customer experience and generating reference-able clients. Responsibilities include all project lifecycle aspects: business analysis, process mapping, system configuration, technical support, training, software specifications, documentation, and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement ERP and related software at client sites across the UK, providing optimal solutions within the project scope. Travel may be required, including to Ireland, Europe, or worldwide.
  2. Import and manipulate data within SQL databases and scripting tools for reporting and management information.
  3. Deliver tailored or prescribed training courses on ERP systems and NexSys software.
  4. Conduct rigorous testing of software products, documenting and escalating issues as needed.
  5. Create process documentation and user guides.
  6. Provide remote and telephone support from Manchester or home as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Experience with a tier 2 ERP product and payroll applications/processes
  • Knowledge of planning, scheduling, or warehouse software
  • Strong business process understanding
  • Project management experience
  • Training delivery and product knowledge skills
  • SQL Server scripting, data manipulation, report writing, VB scripting, C# .NET, XML
  • Windows Server and OS knowledge
  • Customer requirement translation into specifications
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools
  • Customer and team rapport-building skills
  • Ability to think laterally, make decisions under pressure
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Focus on customer objectives
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills
